Ellis Photo Studio is composed of Richard Ellis and his daughter Gillian Ellis. Together they have operated a father/daughter wedding studio in Charleston, South Carolina for the past five years. Previously Richard Ellis was a three-time Pulitzer Prize nominated photojournalist who spent 11-years covering wars and conflict around the world for Reuters News Agency. Following his time as a foreign correspondent Richard Ellis was a photographer covering the White House for six years of the Presidency of Bill Clinton for magazines like Time, Newsweek and US News & World Report. After the White House Richard Ellis worked for Getty Images as the head of news operations. Moving to Charleston in 2005 Richard returned to shooting full time specializing in travel, editorial and portraits. Upon graduating from the College of Charleston with a B.A. in Art History his daughter Gillian joined him and together they opened Ellis Photo Studio in historic Charleston, SC where they are now the premiere family beach photographers.
